dc.description.abstract This pot culture experiment was conducted with the intention of investigating the impact of different sowing dates and concentrations and combinations of NAA and GA on growth and yield contributing attributes of summer tomato. The experiment was laid out in completely randomized design 3 3 viz. T 0 = Control, T = foliar application of 20 ppm NAA at vegetative stage, T 2 = 20 ppm GA 3 1 at vegetative stage T = 20 ppm NAA + 20 ppm GA 3 at vegetative stage, T =20 ppm GA 3 4 3 = 20 ppm NAA at flower cluster initiation stage, T at flower cluster initiation stage, T 6 = 20 ppm NAA +20 ppm GA at flower cluster initiation stage, D 1 = Sowing seeds on 1 st June and D = Sowing seeds on 1 st 2 July, were used in the study. The growth and yield contributing characters were significantly influenced by the application of NAA and GA and sowing dates. At harvest, the tallest plants respectively. Maximum number of flower plant -1 3 6 , whereas the minimum for these characters were recorded in T and T . In case of combined effect of sowing date and plant growth regulator, the tallest plant 2 2 T 2 and the number of flower plant -1 -1 whereas the minimum for all these characters were found in D 1 July and application of 20 ppm NAA along with 20 ppm GA T 1 and D 2 T 2 2 -1 T 6, 1 -1 3 and T . Sowing seeds in 1 can be effective in enhancing growth and yield of BARI Tomato-10. 3 1 5 2 st en_US
