Abstract:
The experiment was conducted in the Horticulture Farm, Shar-e-Bangla
Agricultural University, Dhaka during October 2012 to March 2013. The
experiment consisted of two factors: Factor A: Three levels of Gibberellic acidGA
3
i.e. G
0
: 0
1
: 70 and G
2
: 90 GA
and Factor B: Four levels of
phosphorus as- P
0
:
1
: 120; P
2
3
: 140 and P
3
: 160 kg P
/ha,
respectively. The two factorial experiment was laid out in the Randomized
Complete Block Design with three replications. For gibberellic acid, the highest
gross weight of head
,
while the lowest gross weight of head
. For phosphorus, the highest gross weight of head
0
, whereas the lowest gross weight of
head
2
. For combined
effect, the highest gross weight of head
1
P
2
0
and the lowest gross weight of head
0
P
0.
The highest BCR
and the
lowest
0
P
0
. So, 70 ppm GA
3
with 140 kg P
2
O
/ha is the best for
growth and yield of cabbage.
