Abstract:
Nineteen genotypes of Brassica rapa were evaluated in order to find OUI genetic variability. correlation
and path coefficient analysis of yield and yield contributing traits. All the genotypes showed highly
significant variation for all the characters studied. High heritability together with high to moderate genetic
advance in percentage of mean was observed for plant height, number of primary branches/plant. number
of secondary branches/plant. number of siliquae/plant, 1000 seed weight and yield/plant. Correlation and
path coefficient analysis suggested that during selection more emphasis should be given on plant height.
number of primary branches/plant, number of seeds/siliqua, number of siliquaiplant and 1000 seed weight.
