dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to determine the extent of preference of information sources by the farmers in adopting of vegetable production technologies. An attempt was made to explore relationships of JO independent variables with prelèrence of information sources by the thrmers in adopting of vegetable production technologies. The study also investigated the contribution as well as direct and indirect effects of the selected variables on preference of information sources by the farmers in adopting of vegetable production technologies. Data for the study were collected by interviewing from 107 randomly selected farmers of Pangsha Upazilla under Rajhari District. Among the respondents 63.6 percent belongs to the group of low preference group. 29.0 percent were medium preference group. 7.5 percent in the group of high preference group.. l'here were variations in the extent of preference of information sources by the thrmers in adopting of vegetable production technologies. The highest score was 250 and the lowest score 33 against the possible score. Radio was the highest score (250) followed by input dealer (232) and neighbor (214) and the lowest score (33) by leaflet followed by newspaper (37) and local leader (16). Pearson's Product Moment Correlation coefficient indicated that out often variables education. organizational participation. cosmopolitcness. innovativeness and knowledge on vegetable cultivation showed positive significant relationship whereas family size. annual family income. farm size and availability of input showed non significant positive relationship and among the character age showed only non significant negative relationship. en_US
