dc.description.abstract The experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka to evaluate the effect of phosphorus and potassium on the growth and yield of carrot during the period from November 2012 to March 2013. The two-factor experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The experiment consisted of four levels of phosphorus, viz. P 0 1 :65 kg, P 2 :80 kg , and P 3 :95 kg P 2 O 5 /ha and four levels of potassium, viz. K 0 1 :150 kg , K 2 :175 kg , K 3 :200 kg K O/ha, respectively. The highest root length whereas, the control treatment gave the lowest results. On the other hand, treatment K 3 performed the highest root length 3 K 3 3 produced the highest root length 2 O 5 /ha with 200 kg K 2 O/ha was suitable for growth and yield of carrot en_US
